🍇🇮🇹 Today we’re traveling to Asti, Italy — home of the famous Moscato d’Asti!
Nestled in the rolling hills of Piedmont, the Asti region is known for producing some of the most aromatic and approachable wines in the world. The star of the show? The Moscato Bianco grape (Muscat Blanc Ă Petits Grains), one of the oldest grape varietals known to man
🍑 Flavor Profile:
• Peach
• Apricot
• Orange blossom
• Honeysuckle
• Pear
• Citrus
• Fresh grapes
Moscato d’Asti is typically lightly sparkling (frizzante), low in alcohol, and naturally sweet, making it a perfect wine for brunch, desserts, or anyone looking for something refreshing and easy to enjoy.
🌱 The Terroir:
The steep hillside vineyards of Asti benefit from limestone-rich soils, clay, and sandy deposits. Combined with warm days and cool nights, these conditions help the grapes retain vibrant acidity while developing intense floral aromas and ripe fruit flavors
The result? A wine that tastes like sunshine, fresh flowers, and ripe orchard fruit in a glass. 🍷✨
