During the week of March 21-27, I will be going on a mission trip through Grand Canyon University to Mazatlan, Mexico. My team and I are working with Back2Back Ministries, a global non-profit organization dedicated to fulfilling the spiritual, physical, educational, emotional and social needs of orphans. Throughout the week, my team and I will be working at three different children's homes, which include a special needs home and an all-girls-at-high-risk home. We will be participating in construction projects on the children's homes to improve the physical conditions of the homes and their surrounding communities. We will also be spending time with the children whether it is on field trips to the beach or teaching them the gospel of Jesus. In Matthew 22:39, Jesus says "Love your neighbor as yourself." This verse very much speaks to me in regards to this mission trip. I have grown up with a very blessed life. Now it is my turn to give back to those who are not as fortunate as me and to show love through my action in order to show the love of God to these children. I am so grateful for anyone who donates to fund my trip to Mazatlan. Because you are giving me the funds to actually go and serve the Lord through this trip, you are making a difference in these children's lives.
