One final thought as we say Dobronac (Goodnight) from The River.

While I was researching Polish culture I came across this picture of what the Polish flag represents, and I'd say it's pretty fitting for 2020. The Poles had to struggle A LOT to get where they are today, maybe that's why this generation of Polacks are such stubborn people 😁😁. In one way or another I bet we are all fighting for Peace and freedom in some aspect of our lives and, for me anyways, sometimes you look back and realize the struggle was the best part because you don't take for granted what you earned!!

LAST WEEK @ THE RIVER!!

We are bringing out the heavy artillery for our final hoorah!! During the quarantine period, when we started transitioning to our Polish menu, we served Bigos (Hunter's Meat Stew) and Nalesniki (Polish crepes) and they were a big hit with everybody. So what better time, than now, to bring them back!!

As for our regular menu, we have a few items that are getting close to being sold out, but not many. If you're favorite item does happen to be sold out we will be featuring another great dish to take its place for the final few days so don't you worry!! We will be posting those AMAZING dinner features as this week goes on so keep a lookout!

We will still have our quick and easy contactless ordering link available for PICKUP ONLY. There will be certain times throughout the week that we will be uncertain about being able to do deliveries so if you do need a delivery please give us a call at (989)340-0831 and we will let you know if we can accommodate it at that time. BIG NEWS @ THE RIVER!!

As many have, probably, heard the rumors circulating around town, the building has indeed been sold. We will have two final weeks, here, at The River! Final day will be next Saturday, October 3rd!!

With that being said, that means you still have two weeks to come and support us and show us some love. We will have our full menu available so if you want to get a few last Pierogi Poutine's or Polish Platters in, you still have time. Gift certificates will still be accepted so, by all means, come in and use them up if you have them! Also, this Friday, September 25th, will be our last day serving alcohol so get those $2 Margaritas while they last!

Just like at any great Polish funeral, let's use these final two weeks to celebrate instead of mourn, to be grateful instead of sad, and to share the awesome experiences we've been able to have here.

We have absolutely loved changing the vibe in here and being able to serve such great guests, day in and day out! We want to thank each and every person who has supported us through our journey!!

Our hours will stay the same over the last few weeks. Wednesday-Saturday 11-8 pm.

Dzien dobry, Alpena!!! It's already August? Crazy how fast the time flies when you're having.......to wear masks!! With the cooler temps we had the past few days, we thought we'd try a Fall weather type special this week.

Rustic Beef Goulash
