Reading Between The Wines We're not kidding when we say we're awesome. We are not that book club. There's nothing phony or catty about us.

Reading Between The Wines was founded in July 2011 by Abbey Prentice and Marla Butler, and what started as a book club of two has grown into a book club of 20+ in a mere four months. Book clubs have been around forever and have become regarded as stuffy, boring groups of strangers who, in an attempt to outdo each other intellectually, wind up reading books everyone hates. Reading Between The Wines

operates on three basic fundamentals: Interesting books, abundant wine, and defying the (grotesquely incorrect) stereotype of female friendship. We are a diverse group of women with various cultural, economic and political backgrounds who all have a love of books in common. We are intelligent women who aren't afraid to be funny, or loud, or gross, or anything other than exactly who we are. Because of how much fun we have, we are on a mission to take reading, wine and friendship global.
