Briget Boyle's songs are compelling reminders that healing and redemption are coming. With gritty, vulnerable lyrics, pristine vocals, and driving playing on her antique Gibson J45, Briget’s 90s rock-tinged songs center the truth-telling power of the human voice. Sincerity is magnetic and Briget's songs often inspire listeners to put pen to paper, clear their throats, and dust off their old guitars. What will happen when you listen?
Briget is currently in production for her third solo album with the working title "Heartbreak Residue." The album is due out in late 2022.

On the bill we have the formidable female powerhouse known as bring a depth of personal insight and performing experience to their politically astute hard rock/funk songcraft. The Oakland-based quartet—featuring bassist/vocalist , guitarist/vocalists , Shelley Doty, and drummer/vocalist —deliver impressionable original tunes which reflect the musicians’ deeply-held ideals and wide-ranging musical aesthetic, with tight harmonies, shredding guitar solos and searing lead vocals.
Upon seeing Skip The Needle’s live performance video for the title track “We Ain’t Never Going Back,” legendary bass phenom shared the video on Facebook commenting, “Are Women Rockin’ Harder now?”
Or, as one observer recently said, “If Sly Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Chrissie Hynde, and Chaka Khan all jammed together, this band would be the result. Skip The Needle is reckless, eclectic, fearless and fun, dedicated to love, and like nothing you’ve ever heard before.” Skip The Needle Rocks the Love.

Shows cancelled due to COVID-19: All performance gigs that were scheduled into March and April calendar; all recording sessions that were scheduled into March and April calendar; delay of a production schedule (length of delay unknown) for a musical that I'm music directing (original production schedule spanning mid April to mid May). It's a general assumption that none of us can "count on" gigs happening in the near or even medium distant future –– things haven't officially gotten canceled or postponed for May, June, July etc. but none of us are assuming at this point that they'll happen. We're all in a wait-and-see moment.
