“I am a lover of music and I love telling stories through records. As a youth, long before I owned a pair of turntables and a mixer, I used to make and share with friends themed compilation “mixtapes” on cassettes and CDs. I hand-picked every song and sequenced them with care and intention - like making a movie, where each track was a scene that carried the bigger narrative forward. Over time, this practice boosted my musical knowledge and taste, and greatly influenced how I approach building my DJ sets years later.
The kind of music I enjoy playing is best described as “soulful.” Hip-Hop, r&b, soul, funk, reggae, dancehall, disco, and trip-hop make up the bulk of my record collection. One of the best things about having an eclectic music library is that I have the pleasure of manoeuvring through different energies throughout the duration of my set, allowing me to curate a unique musical journey for each session.”
