NAF's Education pathway(EP) is a component of our Community Resilience and Opportunity Initiative(CROI) that aims to expand access to quality education, improve school retention and equip young minds with future ready skills.

Teachers are the backbone of every thriving education system,yet many across Africa continue to face overcrowded classrooms ,low pay,heavy workloads,limited teaching resources, and inadequate professional development opportunities.
UNESCO estimates the world needs 44 million more teachers by 2030,with sub saharan Africa alone requiring around 15 million.
Through our learning & Innovation portfolio,we are committed to working with governments, schools, teacher training institutions,and development organisations to support educators.

NAF partners with humanitarian agencies to help communities move from relief to resilience.We work alongside communities to strengthen the systems, opportunities, and institutions that reduce vulnerability and support long term recovery.A successful NAF resilience program might mean that,five years later,fewer families need emergency food aid because they have stronger livelihoods,clean water access,and more resilient local institutions.

The Catastrophic humanitarian situation that has unfolded in Darfur and Kordofan regions of Sudan, Upper Nile region of S.Sudan, Karamoja region of Uganda and across the fragile contexts of the Sahel and horn of Africa is a reminder that hunger is rarely caused by food shortages alone - It is a result of fragile livelihoods,limited economic opportunities,climate vulnerability, weak community systems,and insufficient long-term investment.
While emergency relief is saving lives today, lasting transformation requires an integrated approach that builds communities that are capable of withstanding tomorrow's shocks.
