or for purposes of this thread, about the inaugural Salt N Liquor Trivia Nyt... For starters, t'was a Tuesday evening and everything that was supposed to go according to plan, didn't!!! My chef absconded(his loss, not mine), staff uniforms didn't arrive, and for different reasons, we didn't get the numbers.
That said, being the month of December, we had clear skies, and from where I was seated, shielded from the night lights of Arua city, I could actually see the stars. Now, by every right, I can cook (NOT vanity, somethings, you have to take pride in) so, short of the fact that I had a trivia nyt to prep for, I had a kitchen to run, and yes! oh yes!! I did. To the chef, I say, and those that recruited him, no love lost, precedence set!!
This is not an ad, if it does however influence you to request a Pepsi with you lunch today, please, sip away. Pepsi, thank you very much for the staff uniforms, my peeps were really smart in the Mirinda and Pepsi T-shirts.
About the numbers!!! I tip my hat (old western civility) to; Team BMF(Blow Money Fast), Team Salia Musala(next time bring reading glasses), Team Ken Clarity(Arrived just in time for the chicken), Team Nubian Carnival(always got my back), Team Stone(no shame in not knowing car logos), Team Simba one(flew the flag of Tukikube Ne I&M Bank), Team Prettie Pretty(sorry you missed the chicken, but I got you next Tuesday). Again, I tip my hat.
Before you chuckle, permit me, own it. Yes, I started the Salt N Liquor Trivia Nyt with only seven(7) teams, and I intend to frame that on a wall somewhere, a tribute, to the founding seven, a forever gratitude to they that came thru, a footnote in the yet to be told tale, of where we started.
True, you would've-other factors limiting-wanted to be there, apology accepted. Ours is an open invitation, and as sure as every week has a Tuesday, every Tuesday will have a Salt N Liquor Trivia Nyt. It was fun, sorry you missed it, glad you won't miss it this Tuesday.
