Police are still uncertain who the remains actually belonged to since their information and search was for Persad, an Enterprise Chaguanas businessman.
• Two men have been charged with Persad's kidnapping, and several others have been in police custody for the past two weeks assisting with investigations into the incident.
• Kareem Rodriguez was refused bail when he appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the kidnapping for ransom of Persad.
• Rodriguez was charged on Monday with the alleged offence and is the second suspect before the court on such charges. The charge accused Rodriguez of unlawfully seizing and taking away Persad without his consent and of holding him and preventing his release in exchange for a ransom.
• On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Persad was abducted at Pierre Trace in Enterprise, where he went to deliver a load of gravel.
• I exclusively previously reported that ransom of $110,000 was paid after $500,000 was demanded.
• On December 5th, the $110,000 ransom was dropped off at the side of Lloyd Street, Sunshine Avenue in San Juan.
