Hill Country Blues (หรือ North Mississippi Hill Country Blues) มีต้นกำเนิดมาจากพื้นที่ทางตอนเหนือของรัฐมิสซิสซิปปี สหรัฐอเมริกา เป็นดนตรีที่ต่อยอดจาก Delta Blues แต่มีความแตกต่างอย่างชัดเจน
แต่สำหรับสาย Hill Country Blues ก็จะมีลักษณะเด่นตรงที่เน้นจังหวะที่วนซ้ำไปมา จนเกิดสภาวะเหมือนการตกอยู่ในภวังค์ สำหรับศิลปินบางคนอย่าง RL Burnside ก็จะมีการดีดกีตาร์เลียนแบบเสียงกลอง โดยความความยาวของดนตรีแนวนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับอารมณ์ของศิลปิน สามารถเล่นวนไปได้เรื่อย ๆ ตราบเท่าที่จังหวะยังคงดำเนินอยู่
โดยรวมก็เป็นดนตรีที่เน้น ’จังหวะ‘ กับ ‘สภาวะจิต’ มากกว่าการเล่นคอร์ดเพลงละ 9-10 คอร์ด

Note from Otto Chain.

I know it's a band page, but I also want our (few) listeners to listen to my favorite bands too. That's why I'll share a load of other artists' records aside from End This Mandal's.

And my pick today is one of the most haunted records by Scott Walker. There's a little fact that Mr. Walker and I share the same birthday (9 January, also the same day as Jimmy Page) but totally different year as you've already known.

I listened to this record a lot since I first started End This Mandala so can't deny that this is also one of the main inspirations.
