COLD TEAS POP UP
Our day out this Labour Day will feature 2 kombuchas and 2 cold brew teas, but the main stars of the day are the hand-painted ARTaro lamps drawn by 10 different local artists, the proceeds go to a charity cause of their choice, and some artlamps are available for preorder!

SOMEDAY, SOON
The merry plumes of the lamp in #1 and #2 by , are her interpretations of the moods of the sky, of raindrops, clouds and light hues, where she aims to encapsulate a child-like, hopeful and caring heart inmidst of chaos brewing and bubbling in the world 🌈

We think the mood matches the vibes of the Awa Bancha Kombucha lovingly brewed by ,with cheerful notes of pineapples and gentle flavours of pears and Chrysanthemums.

AT THE PARK
The happiest scenes on the artlamps are definitely captured by in #3 and #4, drawing the life of a blessed little doggie pal, his day at the park filled with flowers, birds, tail-wagging and sticks 🐾

The drink that comes to mind is the lively apple flavours of the Honey Orchid Dancong Hongcha kombucha concocted by ! Each sip brings happiness!

Check out these lamps and others this Friday, and taste the cold brew teas and kombuchas prepared by 4 of our favourite cafes in town ⭐️

THAT WINDOW OF YOURS
The name of this artlamp painted by , which we learnt that she drew the peace she feels at night, gazing at the faint outlines of the sea of trees and mountains from the said window. We are especially touched by the interior of the lamp, reminds us of a star-dotted sky🌟

We imagine drinking 's Cold Brew Samidori Wakocha while contemplating the view, with the smooth soothing longan notes. And sipping on .teabar 's Cold Brew Gopaldhara Moonlight, with the citrus honey notes, as if soaking in the moon beams.

Come behold this lamp and others this Friday, and taste the cold brew teas and kombuchas concocted by 4 of our favourite cafes in town ⭐️

The favourite teas this day were the Wudong Honey Orchid Dancong and the Nepali Ogranic Himalayan Golden Tips!Liu Baos and Raw Puers received the least love, we think these teas just need more time to get acquainted with!

As the days get warmer, the green teas and shiboridashis are making a reappearance! We took out the Koshun Sencha for afternoon tea drinking, a rare hybrid from Shizuoka that we love for its umami notes that is less seaweed-like and more complex.

We like it brewed with lower temperatures of about 75 degrees celcius, and brewing with a shiboridashi brings down the temperature further!
We find the flavours sweeter this way, with hints of seaweed, roasted sesame and sweet rice, ending with a tinge of floral astringency.

The Shizuoka Koshun Sencha ailable in our webstore for folks who are curious!

about the fragrance can unlock new core memories, and sometimes forgotten ones too

about their simple pleasures of serving the neighbourhood community

On a rainy grey day, we found time to ponder over 𝕥𝕨𝕠 𝕁𝕒𝕡𝕒𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕖 𝕎𝕒𝕜𝕠𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕤 with contrasting personalities! The 𝕄𝕚𝕪𝕒𝕫𝕒𝕜𝕚 𝔹𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕗𝕦𝕦𝕜𝕚 has Indian genes, with assamica and darjeeling sinensis parents, the 𝕎𝕒𝕫𝕦𝕜𝕒 𝕊𝕒𝕞𝕚𝕕𝕠𝕣𝕚 is as Japanese as it can be, originating from indigenous bushes from Kyoto! Their Indian and Japanese roots are reflected in their flavours: the Benifuuki floral, muscatel and flamboyant, the Samidori more reserved, slightly savory when over-steeped but delivers apple and dried longan sweetness when brewed gently!

They are both available on our webstore. But in case you are interested to taste the cold-brewed Benifuuki, version really brings out the best flavours out of these leaves ♥️

Say Konnichiwa to the set of 8 Japanese teas, curated into a brown box complete with a reusable linen teabag, for your tea exploration pleasure!

Included in the brood are rare cultivars such as Koshun and Minami-sayaka - the standard Yabukita cultivar makes up 95% of teas in Japan, and we want something different!

Compare two types of wakocha (Japanese Black Teas) made from two cultivars of contrasting genetic heritage, Samidori with Japanese roots and Izumi of Indian parentage, with wildly different personalities!

Also included is the fermented folk tea Awa Bancha and its kukicha counterpart, made from the wild-grown uncategorized Zairai cultivar!

Available on our webstore under Tea Tasting Sets!

Because we love tea and cakes, when our baker friend Ethel from conceptualised the passionfruit chocolate cake infused with Drifting Snowflakes Jasmine Green, we jumped with joy! She pumped some tea into the passionfruit curd and the chocolate mousse, and the fragrance drifts into the nose as an aftertaste on the first mouthfuls!

We paired the cake with the honey citrus flavours of the Gopaldhara Bai Mu Dan, second flush harvest from this year! We wanted a gentle fragrant tea to accompany the complex chocolate base + passionfruit acidity + jasmine nose of Ethel's cake♥️
