Fatherless kid - 18 years old boy from Kandep set a record in the country.
A very interesting and inspiring story about this young boy, Mr. Junior Pyakari, an 18-year-old from Pumbul Village in Kandep District, Enga Province, who graduated with the highest distinctions in a Bachelorβs Degree in Mining Engineering at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology.
He grew up with his mother, Lona, in Pumbul Village near Lyumbi Island in Kandep, Enga Province. He grew under the care of his mother alone. Struggling to continue his studies without his father is the long story to tell.
He attended Prep to Grade 2 at Keso Elementary School. After Grade 2, he skipped Grades 3 and 4 and continued to Grade 5. He then skipped Grade 6 and proceeded to Grade 7 at Keso Primary School.
He later attended Grade 9 at Porgera Secondary School. After completing Term One, he requested to move to Grade 10 starting from Term Two. Because of his outstanding academic performance, he was allowed to do so. He then continued his studies from Grade 10 to Grade 12 at the same school.
He was awarded Overall Dux at Porgera Secondary School and was directly selected to continue his studies at the University of Technology in Lae.
During every holiday from his first year to his final year, Porgera Joint Venture (PJV) employed him, giving him valuable industry experience.
Today, he has successfully graduated with the highest distinctions from the University of Technology in Lae.
A small boy with a huge brain β truly a brilliant young man (Genius).
Em yet liklik boi tasol, maus grass ino grow yet na em kisim Degree pinis. It is very unbelievable and truly an incredible story.
His full story obtained from his immediate families.
Congratulations to Junior Pyakari.
