⛳ Winter is a special time to experience The Dunes. The course is looking fantastic, the fairways are open, and the Coromandel provides a spectacular backdrop for a day on the course.

The Coromandel's Jewel doesn't close for winter - it simply becomes more relaxed.

☀️ Thanks to our sand-based course, we are open 7 days a week, all year round. No muddy fairways, no winter closures, just great golf whenever you feel like playing.

👑⛳ King’s Birthday Weekend at The Dunes ⛳👑

🌟 We are looking forward to a busy and fun long weekend at The Dunes! Whether you’re out on the course or joining us at the bar & restaurant, we hope everyone enjoys the weekend with us. 💚

⛳ Golf Shop & Course Information:
• All morning tee times are for 18-hole play only
• 9-hole members wishing to play can contact the golf shop and we’ll arrange this manually
• Monday closing time will depend on tee demand. ~For after hours: Pls use the KIOSK machine ~
• Junior Haggle will not take place this Sunday

Bowls Report from Wayne Davis;

The Dunes bowls group ran another competition on Friday 8th May with 14 of our regular members playing.

This was the 3rd Friday we had tried to run it being closed down by the rain. This week started out wet but cleared for the day.

Great day had by all, we started at 9.30am with the 1st game and 3.00pm for the final.

The 2 teams with the most wins were Lance & Cheryl with 15 win points and Graham & Colin with 13 win points.

Very close fought final with Lance & Cheryl taking out the win on the last end.

Thanks to The Dunes for supplying prizes for 4 teams and Margaret Briggs of “Castle Rock” for her 2 spot prizes.

⛳️ What a Fantastic Day at The Dunes Last Friday! ⛳️

🌟The Richardsons Real Estate, Matarangi Women’s 18-Hole Open Tournament was a huge success, with a fantastic field of both members and visitors from other clubs enjoying a great day of golf, fun and friendship. 🌟

👏A special congratulations to Allison Drake-Wells on setting a new women’s course record with an incredible 81 Gross! 👏🏌️‍♀️ What an exciting achievement to witness during such a special event.

🎊Congratulations again to all the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success. We hope to welcome you all back again next year!

⭐ On behalf of the club, a huge thank you also goes to the women’s sub-committee Kayleen Smith, Polly Lambert, Dee Mear, Noeleen Mulligan & Ann Dale and all of the volunteers who helped both on the day and in the lead-up to the tournament. 👏

🌟An incredible $8,740.70 was raised from the Peter Moore Jones Memorial Golf Tournament & Community Fundraiser in support of the Coromandel Rescue Helicopter Trust.

🔥Thank you to everyone who generously donated auction and raffle items to support the fundraiser. One of the standout highlights of the event was the live auction featuring Neil Purchase trimming off his beard, creating a special moment on the day.

👏Congratulations to all of the winners on the day, and a huge thank to everyone involved in making this event such a success - whether you bid on auction items, enjoyed a round of golf, took part in the on-course activities, purchased raffle tickets, or simply came along to support the day - thank you. Your contribution made a real difference!

🔥A special thank you also goes to the Golf Committee, staff of The Dunes, and all of the volunteers who helped both on the day and in the lead-up to the event. Your time, effort, and support were invaluable, and we truly could not have done it without you all.
