Kaipara Young Farmers Club Don't let the name fool you, no farming required! We meet the last Thursday of every month. We also run club events based on what members would like to do.

Any questions? Feel free to message us! We are part of the Northern Region and have our own club events as well as joining in with regional and even national events. Monthly meetings where we decide what to do each month are the last Thursday of each month (except December), 7pm onwards at Three Furlongs Bar and Grill in Kaiwaka.

We are so stoked to share that our very own Zarnie Fergusson took home the national NZ Young Farmers award for the best FMG Young Farmer of the Year Regional Final in Season 57! Zarnie put on an incredible event and we are so happy to see her efforts being acknowledged on the national stage. There's also a rumour circulating that she took home the notorious 'Battler of the Year' award at the Members' Night Out, but we'll let her tell you about why she took that one out 😉

How good to have our very own legendary Zarnie being Regional Final convenor!

Come along to the Helensville showgrounds this Saturday to catch all the action and see Zarnie and her teams hard work 💪🏼

Stepping up as convenor this weekend is Zarnie Fergusson! ⭐

A true Young Farmer legend and regular FMG Young Farmer of the Year contestant, Zarnie is a familiar face in the Northern Region Young Farmers scene. This time, she's trading the spotlight for a behind-the-scenes role, working with her committee to bring this weekend's event to life.

“Think boots-on-the-ground farming activities,” Zarnie says. “Contestants will ditch the modern conveniences and tackle challenges the way their grandfathers would have.”

You're a star, Zarnie! We can't wait to see this weekend's action unfold. 💪🙌

Representing Kaipara Young Farmers, our next contestant is Jamie Hodges!

A bull farmer by day with only “working more” on his 2025 bingo card, Jamie has prior contest experience alongside his impressive work ethic to give him an edge on practical day. He’s hoping for a fencing module that will allow him to show what he’s made of (and he does tie off a fencing line with the prettiest wire wrapping I’ve ever seen). Jamie’s best piece of advice is to “keep moving forward to matter what”- let’s hope he doesn’t forget this when our FMG Young Farmer of the Year regional final gets underway!
