Big news from the Searchlight crew.
Ash, our brewer is now a co-owner of Searchlight Brewery.
From day one, Ash has been driven by a deep passion for brewing; constantly refining, experimenting, and pushing to make better beer. That focus and dedication have become part of the backbone of what Searchlight is today.
Many of you know his work through beers like John Beer, Champagne Pilsner, and Queenstown Draught; alongside his handpull range, brewed with a nod to classic pub traditions.
Over the last 3 years, Ash has helped shape Searchlight into the hidden gem it has become. Never the loudest place in town, never the biggest; just a genuine local spot built around good beer, good people, music, and the feeling that you’ve found something special.
Searchlight gave Ash the opportunity to prove to himself that he could create beer he was truly proud of. Along the way, he fell in love with the lakes, the locals, the mountains, and the rivers, finding a community that makes this place what it is.
This is more than a business decision. It’s a statement about what Searchlight stands for.
We don’t aim to be bigger. The goal is to be different; a brewery shaped and owned by the people that pour themselves into it every day.
Ash becoming co-owner is a major step in that direction.
For Ash, it’s the result of years of hard work, creativity, and belief.
