Hi Campers,

Information for Easter Camp attached.
Gold level participants need to arrive by 1700 on Friday 3 Apr.
Bronze level requiring training and Silver level participants need to arrive late evening on Thursday 2 Apr.

Those listed as addressees have indicated their intention to attend.
We can accommodate some additional DoEHA participants.

Note:
Briefing/Planning meeting is 5 pm on Sunday 15 March at Welcome Bay Community Centre.
Allow two hours for briefing, trip planning and transport coordination.

Hi everybody,
LAVA CAMP is a go.
We have 14 DoEHA participants and six adults attending.
I have booked Scouts Mountain Lodge for Thursday 2 thru to Thursday 9 April.
Will be a Gold party doing a hike/canoe journey to and down Whanganui River.
Silvers and Bronzes can do 3 and 2 day journeys respectively which may include a Mountain ascent.
Will get details out to you all next week..

Gold Training Course - weekend of 7/8 March.

Candidates must have completed Silver level Training and have preferably completed their Silver level Journeys.
Course focuses on Risk management in the Outdoors and River Safety.
Candidates will be required to prepare a 10-15 minute presentation on an Outdoor Skill Topic given them one week before the course.

Cost: $36 includes "Outdoor Safety" Manual and Camping Fee.

For ScoutsNZ participants - this course will also complete Venturer Award Outdoor Skills Modules 'Outdoor Leadership' and 'Rivers'.

Nominations please no later than 26 February.

3- 10 January 2015 Subject to sufficient attendees registered at the DoEHA levels, there will be opportunity for a Bronze, Silver or Gold level journey during Camp.

Camp can also qualify as Gold residential Project for those not previously involved in activities with the other attendees.

Suskia van der Merwe from Hillcrest High School is taking an expedition for Bronze and Silver the weekend of the 26-28 Oct but it is currently full, if there is any change to this I will let you all know.

Then Hillcret High will be running a Gold tramp with Cynthia Williams Pfeffer on the weekend of 28 Nov to 2 Dec and at this stage numbers are not known, so will keep you all posted.
on that expedition as well.
