Kamp Copyright & Related Rights Ltd is a Collective Management Organisation representing owners and exclusive licensees of Copyright and Related Rights works within the Copyright Act of Kenya KAMP was officially registered in the year 2003 under the Companies Act, Chapter 486 of the Laws of Kenya and licensed by the Kenya Copyright Board to operate as a collective management organisation in May 2008.

KAMP ELECTIONS 2026 | CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

The electoral process for the election of members to the KAMP Board of Directors has officially commenced.

KAMP hereby invites all eligible members to nominate persons seeking election to the available Board positions.

Candidates are required to submit their duly completed nomination forms together with all prescribed declarations and supporting documentation within the stipulated period.

🗓️ Nomination Deadline: 1 October 2026
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM

NOTICE TO ALL MUSIC USERS | KAMP LICENSING CONTINUES

The message is clear: KAMP is licensed and licensing operations continue.

Following the Copyright Tribunal’s interim orders issued on 31 August 2026, the suspension of KAMP’s CMO licence has been lifted, and KAMP’s licence remains in force as the matter proceeds.

For businesses and establishments that use music, this means licensing with KAMP continues.

If you are an existing licensee, ensure your licence remains valid. If you have not yet obtained a licence, now is the time to get licensed and regularise your music use.

Music use requires licensing.

PUBLIC STATEMENT | THE FACTS MATTER

KAMP is putting the facts, the record and the regulatory actions currently affecting the organisation into the public domain.

We support lawful regulation, accountability and proper oversight. What we seek is fairness, due process, transparency and consistent application of the law. Our records, submissions and supporting documentation speak to the issues raised, and we are ready for scrutiny.

At the heart of this matter are not simply Directors, management or regulators. It is about rightsholders.

Every disruption to KAMP’s ability to carry out its licensing, royalty collection, distribution and member services has a direct impact on the creators whose rights we exist to administer.

KAMP will pursue all appropriate legal remedies, continue engaging its members and stakeholders, and place the relevant facts and supporting records before the appropriate institutions for independent determination.

We will not be intimidated into silence. We will defend our members, protect their rights and stand for accountability and fairness in collective management.
