製作させていただいたレプリカをご紹介します。
兵庫県の西宮神社様より、古文書『西宮太神宮神像札賦与免許状』のレプリカ製作をご依頼いただきました。
商売繁盛の神様「えびす様」を祀る総本社として知られる西宮神社様。
えびす様は全国各地で広く信仰され、多くの分社がありますが、東日本大震災の津波により、宮城県南三陸町の分社「志津川西宮神社」に伝わっていた貴重な古文書が流失してしまいました。
西宮神社信仰の貴重な史料を何とか復元したいとの思いから、西宮神社の吉井良昭宮司様より弊社へレプリカ製作のお問い合わせをいただきました。
通常は原本を基にレプリカを製作しますが、今回は原本が失われているため、震災前に吉井宮司様が撮影していた資料写真を基に製作。
写真と宮司様の記憶を参考に、できる限り元の質感や風合いが甦るよう作業を行いました。

We received a request from Nishinomiya Shrine to create a replica of the historical document “Nishinomiya Daijingu Shinzo Fuda Fuyo Menkyojo.”
Nishinomiya Shrine is known as the head shrine dedicated to Ebisu, the deity of prosperous business.
Ebisu is worshipped throughout Japan, and many branch shrines exist across the country. However, the precious historical document preserved at Shizugawa Nishinomiya Shrine, a branch shrine in Minamisanriku, Miyagi Prefecture, was lost in the tsunami caused by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
Hoping to somehow restore this valuable historical material related to Nishinomiya Shrine faith, Chief Priest Yoshii Yoshiaki of Nishinomiya Shrine contacted us regarding the production of a replica.
Normally, replicas are produced based on the original work itself. However, since the original document had been lost, this replica was created using photographs of the document that Chief Priest Yoshii had taken before the disaster.
Using both the photographs and the priest’s memories as references, we worked carefully to recreate the original texture and atmosphere as faithfully as possible.
