Very happy for skipping our precious “day off”, then opening the shop to welcome for our friends those have visited in Kyoto tonight. But not at 7pm as usual but 9ish. We needed a little resting indeed. Come on by if you’re around. Hosting by Alicia herself tonight.

It has already passed in the middle of September. Even everyone of streets have strongly wished busy days coming tho, bartenders on the streets have still complained how horrible these days are. Hope it gets better.
Anyway, Mikiya san is also staying here. We will shake it out tonight! Come by!!

少しじめじめした日が続いてますね。
今日はそんな気分を吹き飛ばすような一杯。ぶどうを使ったモヒートのご紹介です。大阪の農園から届いたぶどうがゴロゴロ入っています。秋らしさと夏の名残りが混じり合う爽やかなカクテルです！

We’ve had a few rather humid days lately.
So today, we’d like to introduce a drink that might just blow those gloomy feelings away: our grape mojito! 🍇🌿

It’s packed with juicy grapes delivered fresh from a farm in Osaka.
A refreshing cocktail where the feeling of autumn meets the lingering warmth of summer.

Come enjoy a taste of the changing season! 🍸

19時オープン、アリシアの日です(投稿りな)

やっと秋の気配が漂ってきましたね。
いつのまにか9月の中ばです。
秋は1年で一番好きな季節ですが、年々短くなっていくようで寂しいですね。

さて、松田幹也さんの作品も店内に馴染んできました。
カウンター正面の棚にはローマ字の横長のブロックが「Kyoto」「Kyoto」「Kyoto」‥‥
と続いていきます。
最後まで行くと「Tokyo」にたどりつくというユーモア溢れる作品になっています。
現場で松田さんのお話を聞きながら鑑賞するとさらに面白いですよー。
松田さん、今週は木曜ごろから登場してくれそうです！！！

It finally feels like autumn is on its way.
Somehow, we’re already halfway through September.

Autumn is my favorite season of the year, but it feels a little sad that it seems to be getting shorter and shorter every year.

Meanwhile, Mikiya Matsuda’s work has started to settle into the space beautifully.

On the shelf directly across from the counter, a series of long, horizontal blocks spells out “Kyoto,” “Kyoto,” “Kyoto”… in Roman letters.

If you follow them all the way to the end, you eventually arrive at “Tokyo.” It’s a wonderfully playful work with a great sense of humor.

It’s even more fun to look at the work while listening to Matsuda talk about it in person, so be sure to catch him if you can!

Matsuda is likely to make an appearance at the bar from around Thursday this week!!!

さて、きょうは次回展示のご案内。
銀河系夜のアートショウの第14弾、谷澤紗和子さんの個展「princess princess 」です！！
谷澤さんは、現在京都を拠点に活動されている作家さんで、「妄想力の解放」や「女性像」をテーマにした作品を制作する。ジェンダーへの関心をに、物語や歴史への固定的な価値を問い直す作品の数々を制作されています。主な展覧会に「プラカードのために」（国立国際美術館・熊本市現代美術館）2026年-2027年、VOCA展2022（上野の森美術館） 2022年、東アジア文化都市 2017京都アジア回廊現代美術展（二条城）2017年など。

精緻な作品が語る、力強いメッセージの世界を楽しみにしてください！！

It’s Alicia’s night, and Rina will be posting today.

Today, we’d like to introduce our next exhibition.

The 14th edition of Galaxy Night Art Show will feature a solo exhibition by Sawako Tanizawa, “princess princess”!!

Tanizawa is an artist currently based in Kyoto. Her work explores the liberation of the imagination and representations of women. With a particular interest in gender, she creates works that question fixed values and assumptions surrounding stories, history, and the ways women are represented.

Her major exhibitions include For Placards (The National Museum of Art, Osaka / Kumamoto City Museum of Contemporary Art), 2026–2027; VOCA 2022 (The Ueno Royal Museum), 2022; and East Asia Cultural City 2017 Kyoto Asia Corridor Contemporary Art Exhibition (Nijo Castle), 2017.

We hope you’ll look forward to entering a world where Tanizawa’s intricate works speak through powerful messages.

銀河系、今宵もりなとアリシアが午後7時よりオープンいたします！
松田幹也さんの展示期間中、流れている音楽(少し控えめですが)、中森明菜と宇多田ヒカルとZARDになってます。銀河系には珍しいメイジャーポップソング。40〜50代にはいつもテレビやコンビニの有線放送で聴いていた感じの曲たち。ストイックな作品とは真逆の音楽がうっすら流れていてコントラストが不思議ですー
今日も銀河系がんばっていきます。ぜひお越し下さい！

During a current exhibition opens, we play some 1980 to 90s J-Pop music - you might be feel unusual at artist place, such as Alkina Nakamori, Hikaru Utada and Izumi Sakai. We have actually gone wiredo. But we may enjoy in such a big contrast in between major pop songs and stoic minimalist art works.
So, it’s a beautiful Saturday evening you may enjoy for hanging out. Let’s shake it out. See you soon.

9月11日というとどうしても15年前のNYCのことを思い出します。今回の作家の松田さんもその頃はNYCにいるわけですがどう過ごしていたのでしょう？聞いてみたいものです
松田さんの今回の作品アートブックになっています
いちおう販売もしていて税込15,000円(ご希望の方は気軽にお声掛けください)
東京と京都がそれぞれ表裏対象になっていて、新幹線を乗りながらゆっくりページをめくっていくと良いですよという本です📕
展示物のほかにカウンターにサンプルありますので是非お手に取ってみてください

Bar Galaxy opens at 7pm
A badass pair, Rina and Alicia are hosting to you tonight.
A term of September eleven be still a powerful memory for us. An exhibition artist, Mikiya Matsuda had also been there today of fifteen years ago. How did he spend these days? Maybe we should ask him in person here.
Anyway, his art book “Tokyo-Kyoto” this exhibition has based on the book is presenting and selling here. You could buy if you want. Just feel free to ask us. Mikiya says it might be good to open the pages when you ride in Shinkansen train rounding Kyoto to Tokyo.
Just check it out when you come here. You may love it.
