A parte quelle più famose, le fontane di Roma più amate e comuni sono sicuramente "i nasoni", le fontanelle con la caratteristica forma cilindrica installate in tante piazze e vie della città. Nate nel 1874 da un’idea dell’allora Sindaco Luigi Pianciani, dissetano e assistono romani e turisti diventando parte della vita quotidiana.

Apart from the most famous fountains, the 'nasoni' are Rome's most common and best-loved fountains. The small cylindrical-shaped fountains can be found in many squares and streets of the city. Created in 1874 from an idea of the mayor at the time, Luigi Pianciani, they quench the thirst of Romans and tourists alike and have become part of daily life.
