A legendary figure in India’s Salsa community, Alex has spent nearly three decades dancing, teaching and building, with a contribution to India’s Latin dance movement that is nothing short of Himalayan 🙏🏻

From helping build Salsa communities across cities to training teachers who have gone on to teach generations of dancers, his influence reaches far beyond the people who have been lucky enough to learn directly from him.

And now, he’s coming back to Salsa Upanishads, an event he has been part of since its very first edition. In fact, the entire event was conceptualized as an experience of learning from one of the greatest Salsa gurus - Alex himself!

So yes, you could simply come for the dancing.

But when someone with this much experience, knowledge and perspective is in the room, missing the opportunity to learn from him would be quite the missed beat. 😉

Honestly, Ahmedabad doesn’t need another place to just sit, eat, and say “there's nothing else to do here” 😌
So… let’s dance! 🪩

STRANGERS ON THE DANCE FLOOR is our 6-day Salsa experience for people who are starting from zero. ✅

You don’t need a partner.
You don’t need dance experience.
And having two left feet is not a disqualifier. We’ve seen worse. 😜

Just come after work, meet some new people, learn Salsa, and see where it goes. By the end, the person you walked in with as a stranger might just be your favourite person to dance with. 🙌🏻

You'll learn from one of India's most experienced instructors, Jayvir Mehta, who'll lead you through the entire experience in a super fun way! 🤌🏻

6 days. New people. New moves.
From strangers to dancing friends.

📅 Starts 21st September
🗓️ Mondays & Wednesdays
⏰ 6 Sessions, 7:00–8:30 PM
📍 Furor Studio, Shyamal

No partner needed. Just show up.
Text on WhatsApp 9687674520 to save your spot. 💃🏽

Don’t just dance Bachata. Get into it. 🔥

13/09/2026

Apparently, “I don’t need to learn” is still a thing 😂

Meanwhile, the Masterclass got SOLD OUT.
So we got a bigger venue.

It is already FULL HOUSE, but now 5–7 spots are available!
I’m definitely taking one. Because learning from Alex is kind of the whole point 🤩

If you’re joining me, come learn, get inspired, get humbled… and get better. 🔥

5–7 spots. That’s it.

24th to 27th September
Masterclass with Alex | Thu & Fri
Main Workshops + Socials | Sat & Sun
Alex Diaz + Zohra Malik 🤌🏻

Don’t overthink this one.

Your future self has better things to do than watch everyone else’s stories. 😏
