Fizz, Fun, and Flavors: Embrace the Delight of a Classic Mimosa
Ingredients:
1 bottle of chilled champagne or sparkling wine
1 ½ cups of freshly squeezed orange juice (about 3-4 oranges)
Optional: ¼ cup of orange liqueur (such as triple sec or Grand Marnier)
Orange slices or zest, for garnish (optional)
How to prepare:
1. Start by chilling your champagne or sparkling wine in the refrigerator.
2. Squeeze enough oranges to obtain 1 ½ cups of fresh orange juice. You can use a juicer or simply hand-squeeze the oranges.
3. If you prefer a slightly stronger and more flavorful Mimosa, add the optional ¼ cup of orange liqueur (triple sec or Grand Marnier) to the orange juice. This step is optional and can be skipped if you prefer a non-alcoholic version.
4. Take champagne flutes or any tall and narrow glasses you have available. Fill each glass halfway with the chilled champagne or sparkling wine.
5. Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice (and optional orange liqueur) into each glass, filling the remaining half of the glass. The champagne and orange juice will mix naturally when poured, creating the signature Mimosa fizz.
6. Gently stir each Mimosa with a cocktail stirrer or a small spoon to ensure the flavors are well combined.
7. If desired, garnish the glasses with a slice of orange or a twist of orange zest on the rim of each glass.
8. Serve the Mimosa cocktails immediately while they are still fizzy and fresh.
