🔸Where you gain a friend

came in to train the staff at the new Brewdog Gurugram site. Spoken to her just twice before me met she seemed to be kind and very educated about beer.

She began training the staff and my mind was blown, not only was she well versed with beers and service standards, she was also quiet companionate and really took the time to explain many things well. She is a work horse, wow!

But we also used to talk everyday, sharing petite life details. We laughed at dumb jokes cracked by yours truly but also spoke seriously on some. I gained a friend, a true friend for life one. I am grateful that you are an amazing person.

🔸 Emotional but strong start

Almost a year and half ago, I began my career as an intern in a brewery to eventually becoming a brewer in a brewery! It was a hard road to to become one but the one who gave me an opportunity was . I want to stress on the fact that apart from all the teaching about beer, he taught me more, being an entrepreneur.

It's a hard life having a company to run and managing everything in the brewery as well. It takes a toll and he also began to better the beer and judging scene in Colombia. Many days I simply admired his work ethic. We had differences and also misunderstandings (it's great we had them), it simply helped me grow. He thought us how to live craft!

La verdad, Juanca y , les agradezco muchísimo! ❤️❤️❤️🍻 Un abrazo!

Now from tomorrow I begin my journey with to start learning and getting into the grind to start a brewery in a few years!

Our BBT (Bright Beer Tank) has about 2600 lts of capacity. We have one day dedicated to kegging the beer in it because we have orders to fulfill and also might need to transfer a beer from the fermentors to the BBT for carbonation. All of this for your happiness!

🔸 Experience of a lifetime

This past week, I had the pleasure of being a part of . An international competition bringing in the best beers from all over the world!

I was fortunate enough to be behind the scenes and be a steward during the competition. I got to see how the judges observe and taste beer. The conversations itself were so enlightening.

Meeting the likes of , .semilla.aftyka and many more well known people had my heart fill up with joy!

Yesterday had the pleasure of meeting at . He gave a talk on IBUs and hops in general. A beautiful interactive session with a great mind.

I bet many of us started brewing by reading his book and wow its a pleasure to meet him in real life!

A big part of a brewer's life is how to educate the people around you and help them understand beer and why we are in the industry.

I got the opportunity to do so with my family. Explaining the process, tasting the beer and what to look for into it. My family was surprised at the depth of beer. They, like many, thought a beer is a beverage to drink and simply get another one. Flavor and style doesn't matter to them. I am glad they took the initiative to understand it.

I had learnt all of this with my time at and hence giving me a good platform.

If you want to improve your knowledge of beer, just follow the guys. They have a 101 series where they explain a topic in specific detail. The additional fact that Max is in brewing school really helps the growth of your knowledge.

And their unintentional jokes are funny AF.
