🌟 A Proud Day for Longford 🌟
Longford Variety Group was honoured and delighted to attend the official launch of the new County Longford tourism website, VisitLongford.ie, at Backstage Theatre.
We would like to sincerely thank Longford Tourism, Longford County Council, Cathaoirleach Cllr Garry Murtagh, Minister Peter Burke TD, and everyone involved in organising such a wonderful event. It was a privilege to be invited and to witness this exciting new chapter in the promotion of our beautiful county.
The launch of VisitLongford.ie is a fantastic initiative that will help showcase all that Longford has to offer, encouraging visitors to discover the people, places, heritage, culture, and opportunities that make our county so special.
Here at Longford Variety Group, we are proud to play our own small part in promoting Longford through community involvement, entertainment, fundraising, and bringing people together. As always, we remain committed to our motto:
"By the Community, For the Community."
We wish Longford Tourism every success with the new website and look forward to seeing Longford continue to grow, thrive, and shine on the national stage.

For over 30 years, Longford Variety Group has been at the heart of our community, bringing people together through music, dance, comedy, theatre, and friendship.
Since our foundation in the early 1990s, thousands of people of all ages have walked through our doors. What started as a local variety group has grown into one of Longford's most loved community organisations, raising well over €300,000 for local charities, schools, community groups, and worthy causes along the way.
But Longford Variety Group is about far more than fundraising. We provide a safe, welcoming environment where young people and adults alike can discover their talents, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and feel a true sense of belonging. Whether it's singing, dancing, acting, comedy, backstage work, or simply being part of something special, everyone has a place in LVG.
We are proud to nurture local talent, encourage creativity, promote inclusion, and create opportunities for people to shine both on and off the stage. Most importantly, we continue to prove that when a community comes together, amazing things can happen.
