We here at The Roadside Tavern were deeply upset to learn about the passing of one of our community’s most exceptional characters , guest and friend.
Most importantly the father of our matriarch, front of house manager and the face you meet when you walk through the front door.
We send our deepest sympathies to all the family during this difficult time.

The death has occurred of JOHN "SONNY" GERAGHTY of Lisdoonvarna, Clare Ireland, on 02/05/2026. You can view the full death notice and add your condolences here.

No stranger to our Burren Slow Food Festival, Peter will share recipes that you can do easily at home. In the Roadside Tavern, a gastro pub in Lisdoonvarna dating back to the mid-1860, Peter is delighting his guests with lovingly cooked meals using local ingredients.
