A little behind-the-scenes with Rosarie! 🌸🌿

And that’s a wrap on Rosarie’s Apple Jelly 🍎✨

From the apples, to the straining, the sugar, the patience… and finally, the jars.

Thank you for following along with our little apple jelly series - hopefully Rosarie has inspired a few of you to give it a go at home. 🤍

And if you do, make sure to tag us - we’d love to see your jars!

A little bit of patience, a lot of apples, and one very good jelly. 🍏

Part 5 of Rosarie’s Apple Jelly 🍎

This time, Rosarie shares how you can add a little something extra to your apple jelly - cloves for a warm, spiced preserve, or fresh mint for something a little lighter and fresher. 🌿

A lovely way to change the flavour with the seasons, while keeping the same traditional apple jelly base.

Which would you choose - clove or mint? 🍏

Apple jelly, part four 🍎

After giving the apples plenty of time to drain, Rosarie is left with the beautiful clear apple juice ready for the next step.

And nothing goes to waste - the apple pulp left behind goes straight out to the hens. 🐔🍏

A little bit of patience, and a little bit of good old-fashioned kitchen sense.

Follow along for the next step.

Apple jelly, part three 🍎

The most important thing when straining your apple juice - don’t squeeze the J-cloth!

Let the juice drip through naturally. It takes a little time and patience, but that’s what gives you that beautiful clear apple jelly.

Good things come to those who wait. 🍏

Save this tip for your next batch.

Apple jelly, part two 🍎

A little kitchen tip from Rosarie — no muslin cloth to hand? A clean J-cloth works perfectly for straining the apple juice.

Once strained, the rule is simple: for every 1 litre of apple juice, use 1kg of sugar.

A good old-fashioned method, kept nice and simple. 🍏

One of the most requested recipes from Ebzery’s kitchen - Rosarie’s apple jelly. 🍎

This is part 1 of 5. We’re sharing it as a little mini series, so you can follow along from the apples to the jar.

A lovely way to make the most of the apples coming into season. 🍏

The last of the summer strawberries and the first of the heritage Bramleys 🍎🍓

These apples were picked from the Heritage Bramley trees in Fawnamore, and today Rosarie has turned them into one of her lovely apple tarts, with a few of the last strawberries tucked in too.

A little three minutes in Rosarie’s kitchen , from apples to tart.

If you make one yourself, be sure to tag us, we’d love to see it. ❤️
