I will be at Ballinascarthy Hall on Friday, Jan 16th at 11am to discuss the ongoing water supply disruptions in the area. If you were impacted and you want to share your own frustrations and experience please feel free to attend. I want to try to build as strong a case as possible for an immediate and permanent solution to the issue.

✨ Christmas Lights – This Sunday at 6pm ✨

Our Christmas lights will be turned on this Sunday at 6pm. The Shannonvale Community Group have been busily preparing, and we’ve added a few new pieces this year, so it would be great to see a big crowd out.

We’re delighted to have Deirdre Phair as our guest of honour, and she will switch on the lights for us this year.

It’s always a lovely evening for the village, bringing everyone together — young and old.

🌊🍀 Best of luck to Moya Knowles as she represents Ireland at the European U23 Rowing Championships this weekend in Račice, Czechia! 🇮🇪🚣‍♀️✨

Moya will line up in the U23 Women’s Eight, going head-to-head with Europe’s best on the international stage. A fantastic achievement great to see one of our own competing at this level 💚

✨ Margaret Daly Shannonvale Road Bowling Fundraiser! ✨

Margaret Daly and The Shannonvale Bowling Club are once again organising a fantastic weekend of bowling in aid of the Bowel Cancer Unit at CUH.

Held successfully for a number of years, this fundraiser has raised over €53,000 for this vital cause – a truly incredible achievement.

The action kicks off this evening and runs right through to Sunday, with plenty of high-quality scores expected. There’s also a raffle with some brilliant prizes – including a TV – with tickets available in Phairs Pub. 🍀📺

👉 Be sure to come along and support this worthy cause. With the great community spirit in Shannonvale, no doubt this weekend will be another huge success! 🎉

Well done to the Shannonvale Darts Team! 🎯👏

In June, Phairs Darts Team held a darts exhibition in the pub with Brendan Nolan and raising €1,225 for Meals on Wheels.

Some of the Meals on Wheels team came along for the presentation and were delighted to receive the donation.

A great night and a lovely example of our community pulling together.
