If every bad b**r, poured through a dirty line by a surly bartender constitutes a petty crime, then every great b**r, carefully brewed and lovingly cared for, is an affirmation of what we believe at B**r People. It is an act of decency, a small kindness at an unexpected moment. It can change a day or, if you are lucky enough to be sitting across from the right people, a life. That's why we love working with . Every glass we serve is a testament to hope, good humor, and painstaking attention to detail. When we get to sell b**r like this, we find it easier to work, to clean, to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Right now we have two extraordinary and diverse examples of fresh, unpasteurized Czech l***r on our system: Káranská 9°, an effervescent, delicate, low-ABV světlý ležák; and Janatrová 13°, a full-bodied, quaffable, amber polotmavý ležák.
It doesn't get any better than this.

New drop! We are excited to announce that we received a large shipment of b**r. This is a formative b**r for us. These are b**rs we drank in college, that we stole from our parents as teenagers. They are more than a legacy brewery. They are one of a handful of breweries in history that have had an indelible effect on the way b**r is made, and how we think about it, so integral to the American b**r story that's hard to imagine what that culture would be like without them. B**r Person 3: Job Goodhead

By 1800, brewers in Burton upon Trent had long-since attributed the superiority of their ales to ‘Burton salts’ from the River Trent, which were later identified as gypsum (calcium sulphate). By 1822, 70% of Burton’s b**r trade came from ‘Burton Ale,’ a high-ABV brown ale that was the precursor to Russian Imperial Stout, but that market collapsed when Napolean’s blockade kept English b**r from reaching Russian shores.

Faced with a crisis, Job Goodhead of Allsopp’s, spent a sleepless night in his kitchen brewing test-batches in a teapot. He was iterating a b**r that was very different from Burton Ale, one which suffered from notable inconsistencies—Hodgson’s. That product was part of a tradition of hoppy ales that were transported across Britain's empire: IPA.

Goodhead discovered that the Burton ‘salts’ enhanced the bitterness of IPA and caused unwanted proteins to fall out, resulting in a clearer, more stable b**r. Within a year, Allsopp’s rival, Samuel Bass, had brought their own IPA to market, and b**r was never the same.

"My name really is Michael Jackson, but I don't sing, I don't dance, and I don't drink Pepsi. I drink b**r."
It is impossible to exaggerate the importance that Michael Jackson had on the way we think about b**r. He is the most influential writer on the subject in its 10,000-year history. He created the language we use to describe it, inventing the term and concept of a 'b**r style'. He nurtured America's modern b**r culture and canonized its foundational breweries. He popularized Belgian b**r: was so instrumental in preserving its traditional varieties that he was the first non-brewer to be inducted into the Belgian Brewers Federation. He encouraged Charlie Papazian to start the GABF, the world's largest brewer's festival. He suffered from Parkinson's, resulting in slurred words and the public perception that he was constantly inebriated. He titled his memoir I'm Not Drunk.
Today, his books have sold over three million copies and are translated into 18 languages. His 1989 docuseries, "The B**r Hunter" is available for free on YouTube. Please watch it.
