做咗咁多年,我哋發現好多客人都唔知點樣形容自己想要嘅啤酒。「花香」係其中一個最常聽到嘅request,老實講,我哋完全明白點解會咁講🤓!

但真相係:精釀啤酒嘅味道世界超級大 - 想搵到最啱你嘅酒,最好嘅方法係用你已經識嘅味道嚟形容!🎯

等我哋教你簡單啲嘅講法:

🍊 「我想要水果味、柑橘味」
即係:橙、西柚、檸檬、青檸
→ 試吓: IPA、Pale Ale、小麥啤
→ 點解: 美國、澳洲、紐西蘭嘅酒花帶出超正嘅柑橘味、帶點苦!

Over the years, we've noticed many customers struggle to describe what they're looking for. "花香" (flower aroma) is one of the most common requests, and honestly? We totally get the confusion!

But here's the thing: craft beer flavors are HUGE and diverse - and the best way to find your perfect beer is to talk about FLAVORS you already know and love! 🎯

LET'S MAKE IT SIMPLE - DESCRIBE YOUR BEER LIKE THIS:

🍊 "I WANT SOMETHING FRUITY & CITRUSY"
Think: orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime

SO WHAT ABOUT "HOPS" VS "FLOWERS"?

Quick clarification: Hops ARE flowers (technically!), but they're used in beer for SO much more than "floral" aromas. Hops are magical little cones that can taste like:

Tropical fruits (mango, passionfruit) 🥭
Citrus (grapefruit, orange) 🍊
Pine forests 🌲
Stone fruits (peach, apricot) 🍑
Berries 🫐

真相係:唔係酒有問題,係溫度!🤯

The Madhouse 做咗精釀啤酒咁多年,最重視嘅就係每款酒都要用啱嘅溫度去儲存同serve,因為我哋深深明白,溫度就係「唔好飲」同「正到飛起」嘅分別。今日同大家分享吓我哋嘅心得:

唔同酒款飲用嘅最佳溫度:
🧊 冰涼透心 (4-7°C)�→ 果酒 Cider、啤酒 Lager、Session Beers�呢啲酒最緊要係清爽醒神!太熱會變得冇氣又太甜。凍住嚟飲最perfect,特別啱香港咁濕熱嘅天氣,一啖落去透心涼!

❄️ 清涼舒爽 (7-10°C)�→ Pale Ale、IPA�呢個溫度係「酒花控」嘅天堂!太凍嘅話,聞唔到熱帶水果、柑橘、松樹嘅香味;太熱又會有酒精嗆喉。呢個範圍啱啱好,酒花香氣全開,順喉又有層次。

🌡️ 適度微涼 (10-13°C)�→ Porter、Double IPA�複雜嘅酒需要空間去發揮!喺呢個溫度,你會慢慢嚐到:烘焙麥芽、焦糖、酒花嘅唔同層次,仲有酵母嘅微妙風味。太凍就乜都飲唔出。

🔥 酒窖溫度 (13-16°C)�→ Imperial Stout、木桶陳年啤酒�呢啲「重量級」嘅酒根本就係液體甜品!凍到冰冰哋飲?你只會飲到貴價嘅「酒精雪糕」,完全冇味道。等佢哋回溫少少,朱古力、咖啡、雲呢拿、威士忌、果乾嘅味道就會一次過爆發出嚟!

溫度唔啱會點
❌ **太凍:**味蕾會遲鈍咗,香味出唔到嚟。啲靚酒就咁嘥咗!
❌ **太熱:**啤酒花氧化味搶晒鏡,啤酒變到冇氣,真係難入口。

�Ever wonder why that amazing IPA tastes flat at home but incredible at the taproom? Or why your Imperial Stout seems one-dimensional when ice-cold?
Plot twist: It's not the beer. It's the TEMPERATURE. 🤯

At The Madhouse, we're obsessed with storing and serving every beer at its optimal temperature because we know it's the difference between a bad beer experience and an UNFORGETTABLE one. Here's what 8+ years of craft beer expertise has taught us:

THE SCIENCE OF SIPPING:
🧊 REFRESHINGLY COLD (4-7°C)�→ Cider, Lagers, Session Beers�These styles shine when crisp and cold. Higher temperatures can make them taste flat and overly sweet. Perfect for Hong Kong's humidity – just pure, crushable refreshment.

❄️ COOL & COLLECTED (7-10°C)�→ Pale Ales, IPAs�This is the hop lover's sweet spot! Too cold and you'll miss those tropical, citrus, and piney aromas. Too warm and the alcohol starts overshadowing the delicate balance. This range lets the hops do their magic while keeping it smooth.

🌡️ MODERATELY CHILL (10-13°C)�→ Porters, Double IPAs�Complex beers need room to breathe. At this temperature, you'll taste the layers: roasted malts, caramel notes, higher hop complexity, and subtle yeast characteristics. Too cold and it all gets muted.

🔥 CELLAR TEMPERATURE (13-16°C)�→ Imperial Stouts, Barrel-Aged Beers�These big, bold beers are basically liquid desserts. Serve them too cold and you're drinking expensive alcoholic ice cream that tastes like... nothing. Let them warm up and BAM – chocolate, coffee, vanilla, bourbon, dried fruits all come alive.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN TEMPERATURE GOES WRONG:
❌ Too Cold: Your taste buds literally get numbed. Carbonation feels harsh. Aromas stay trapped. You're basically wasting money on premium craft.
❌ Too Warm: Beer tastes flat and oxidized. Sweetness becomes cloying. Not pleasant.

PRO TIPS FROM THE MADHOUSE:�✅ Pour your beer into a glass (yes, always!)�✅ Hold it by the stem or bottom to avoid warming with your hands�✅ Let it breathe for a few minutes�✅ Notice how flavours evolve as it warms slightly
