Pomme d’Or means “golden apple” in French — and it’s a name close to my heart. It was the name of my grandparents’ greengrocer shop in Woodford Green, London, where I was born. I started Pomme d’Or Gift Ideas over 10 years ago with handmade bath bombs, and from Autumn 2025 I’ll be also focusing on my hand-embellished reusable gift bags. Each one is decorated with care — from sparkling appliqués to

detachable bows and keepsake tags — designed to be reused, repurposed, and loved again. For me, gifting should always be thoughtful, sustainable, and beautiful to the core. 💛

With a such a burst of unseasonal sunshine in May, my mind took one of its all-too-frequent leave-of-absences and wandered off to citrus groves, long sunny days and Mediterranean sunshine.

The inspiration that returned was Luca: an embellished bottle bag, decorative glass bottle, recipe leaflet and bottle tags, all brought together into one gift-ready kit.

The leaflet includes recipes for a traditional sweet lemon liqueur, a sugar-free alcohol infusion and a non-alcoholic lemon syrup, so the recipient can choose their own path.

I’ve called this kit Luca - sunshine, citrus groves and a touch of Mediterranean charm.

I’ve always loved blue, but I’d never really given much thought to turquoise until my cousin wore a beautiful turquoise dress to a “gathering of the clan” weekend - it looked so fresh and uplifting.

LAUNCH DAY 🎉
The website is now open 👏

After many months of change, learning, clearing space, and creating around real life, I’m so pleased to be launching the first Pomme d’Or hand-embellished bag collection.

The opening range includes jute, denim and a little occasion sparkle - all created in small quantities so I can listen, learn and grow thoughtfully from here.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with me through the journey. It means more than you know.

Not quite ready to reveal her just yet… ✨

But here’s a glimpse.

Champagne jacquard, delicate texture… and those rose gold, light-catching handles that shift beautifully between gold and copper.

I replaced the original handles with these, and it’s a gentle reminder that sometimes it’s the smallest details that make all the difference.

She’s quietly becoming something rather special.

A little burst of yellow to brighten the grid 🌼

From bath bombs to bags… I still can’t quite believe I’m saying that! These past few weeks have been incredibly exciting, quietly working away behind the scenes as Pomme d’Or continues to evolve - although it turns out it’s been a much bigger process than I ever imagined! 😬

There’s been a lot going on… building up stock, teaching myself new photography skills (some shoots more successful than others!), and refining my bag-making techniques (in preparation for what will come next).

For this first phase though, I’ve used carefully selected base bags, each one hand-embellished and completely individual. I’ll be launching with around 15 styles.

I’m also in the middle of setting up my packaging space at home, so everything can be sent out promptly.

It’s all go, but it’s all coming together… just taking a little time to do it properly alongside caring and everyday life.

If all goes to plan, I’m hoping to be ready to go live on the website in the next 2–3 weeks ✨

Denim, in the making…

I’ve started working with denim pieces, exploring how embellishment sits against a more structured fabric, with stitch, texture and detail becoming part of the design.

This weekend I’ll also be learning more about bag construction, taking a small step towards creating more of the pieces from the ground up 🪡🧵

It feels like a natural next chapter.

Behind the scenes.

I always lay out my appliqué, beads and other bits before I start working on a bag, just to see what works (and sometimes what really doesn’t!) in terms of tones and balance.

This one’s coming together nicely with the colour palette, so I may have arranged things a touch more deliberately 🤭 to sneak in a nice photo.

The photography is slowly coming together, and I’m still working through adding pieces to the website. It’s taking a little time (as these things often do), but steady progress is being made alongside everything else.

All in all, I’m loving this creative life 😊🤍
