A FORMER working men’s club could be demolished to make way for flats, new plans have revealed.

After many years of business the club closes this weekend. Many thanks for your support, your laughs and your company. Thanks to all the great acts (and the bad ones) that have entertained us. Very sad but hundreds of great memories, here are just a few 😭

A number of rumours will soon start floating around so best to hear the facts
A meeting was held at the club last night to discuss the clubs future and in particular looking for someone to continue the running of the club when the current steward and Secretary finish on July 1st
Unfortunately no one at present has volunteered so it has been decided to market the land for potential suitors with a view to a sale as the club will be unable to function without the commitment and passion required that the previous personnel afforded us
The financial position of the club is stable and we will continue to open as normal up until this date and all parties will be honoured
We would like to thank all members old and new for their support over the many years the club has been open and ask for that to continue over the coming months whatever the outcome may be
