signature X bass no4 is progressing well. I’m currently in the middle of weathering the chalk paint finish 🙂

Probably the most time consuming part of making a neck, but also arguably the most important part of building a guitar. Fretwork will make or break how an instrument plays.

These stainless frets have taken about 6 hours to trim to size, de-tang, set in the fretboard, level, dress and polish.

Been working on the Signature X bass no 4 today, really starting to come together 🙂

Been working on this Oak and ebony neck that I glued up yesterday. I’ve done a rough carve, put in the fretmarkers and started on the frets 🙂

Finished the signature no3 this morning and started no4 this afternoon. That means we are down to just 1 left on preorder 🙂

Just finished this Maybury Fish Hook T. Reclaimed spruce body, flamed maple neck with a Bog Oak Fretboard with gold jumbo frets. USA made X Trem with roller bridge and traditional locking tuners. Pickups from p90 in the neck and PAF in the bridge. Hand made k***s and switch tip from 🙂
