Today at Richmond we had the pleasure of helping one of our younger residents enjoy his birthday he was happy opening presents and cards and of course his birthday cake. We had the World Cup on and one of the residents was as they say glued to the tv watching it with help from staff shouting when they nearly scored he really seemed to enjoy this. We also had a royal hydration trolly with cakes and scones and one of our ladies went on an outing to Darlington for lunch and shopping. It’s been a busy day with lots of smiles and laughter! Just how we like it.

Today on Richmond it’s been a day of outings! our lovely residents have been out for lunch and spot of shopping. Lots of smiles and laughter and shopping of course. When asked they all said they had enjoyed their day out.

Today one of our gentlemen enjoyed going on a day trip to the seaside. He’s a younger gentleman and loves games and arcades so has really enjoyed this trip. No trip to the seaside would be complete without fish and chips and a walk along the sea front. When asked he said he’d really enjoyed his day out.

Today we have had 3 of our lovely gentlemen out for lunch and a spot of shopping. All the gentlemen said they had really enjoyed themselves. It was special for one of them as he loves the police so enjoyed talking to local police officers that we had passed and had his photo taken with them. Things like this in the community really makes a difference to the well being of our residents.

Today our wonderful staff have done a wide range of activities with our lovely residents. From arts and crafts, reading, pamper sessions, kinetic sand and lots of village outings. The weather has been a little wild today between rain hail and sun but this didn’t stop the trips out. Today was filled with lots of fun and laughter.

Today Sandra took a couple of our lovely residents out for the day to bishop auckland. They loved seeing the new bus station having lunch and and doing a spot of shopping. Lots of smiles and laughter. They looked around the town with Sandra giving them a tour and conversation of how much it’s changed. When asked if they had enjoyed being out both said yes.
