Mission Statement
Dulcie is a 21-year-old Entrepreneur who has strong values and ideas so when the opportunity arose to open her own restaurant, she had a clear vision. Fed up with Boil in the bag pub grub and over inflated prices of so-called Gastro food combined with Apps and QR codes leaving any kind of service lacking. Her aim was to create a great atmosphere in a pleasant clean surrounding co
mbined with good old fashioned friendly service and a simple menu that presents tasty home cooked food that is value for money. The food is not pretending to be authentic Mexican but based on appealing to the British pallet with focus on good locally sourced meat from Mince Beef, the Pork Belly and Chicken are all good quality. The Chilli is mild, the fajitas are mild, and the Tapas all contain a variety of seasoning and spices designed to give a Mexican feel, if you want to Hotter or spicier then Dulcie is more than happy to accommodate. There are some alternatives on the menu like Calamari and Prawns, with a simple take on providing value and basic taste again but there is no desire to compete with the dozen or excellent seafood restaurants dotted around the Weymouth Seaside town, but they do present an alternative to meat options. Other Tapas include options for Vegetarians and Vegans
This is about the whole package and customer experience, from being greeted and seated to receiving your free bottle of ice water and bowl of cornbread to nibble while you relax and choose your drinks and food. The food is prompt and the average spend on food per head is under £20.00 so this must represent good value for money. Dulcie is not trying to be Mexican and is not pretending to be a Michelin star restaurant, its just nice food, good value with good service in a nice atmosphere. Dulcie is welcome for feedback and constructive comments that will help her evolve and improve and whilst we fully appreciate everyone’s perception of taste and expectations are individual, she hopes the concept appeals to the majority.
