I’ve been pretty silent on here as the doubts of my creative self started to creep back in - especially as my time in Bristol has ended and I now need to work out what the next step is.

I’ve been travelling around Europe for the last month with my lil bud and it’s giving me ideas and a fresh perspective. I needed to take a step back and recharge.

The school hall at Bournville Primary School in Weston Super Mare is home to new printed vinyl wall coverings that not only protect the walls but encourage the children to look after themselves as well.

The design aspirations were complicated and the budget small. The Head Teacher Adam Matthews wanted to inspire children to learn to read, celebrate all the activities that take place in the school hall, whilst sending an important message about how important it is for the children to learn about what it takes to look after themselves, each other and their future.

I designed 4 distinct panels around the themes of Look After Your Body, Look After your Health, Look After your Heart, Look After Your Brain. Combining quirky handwritten quotes, with simple symbols and fonts that encourage young writers and readers, the panels are bright and very positive.

The designs have been sent to Artworks Solutions and will be up in Bournville Primary on the 29th September. Cannot wait!

All the designs are finished! They were sent to the head teacher yesterday so fingers crossed everyone!

I thought I'd update you all. Designing is going very well! One is finished and has been approved by the lead artist. Now the head teacher needs to approve then it'll be all systems go!

Day 2 of designing. It's a slow process but I think I'm getting there! All to be ready for the end of the week. Wish me luck guys!

I have just been given the opportunity to design a typography wallpaper for Bournville Primary in Weston-super-Mare which Artworks Solutions will be printing. My main themes will be mind, heart and body to encourage the children to look after themselves and others. Anybody who would like to send in some suggestions for food, health, learning, love and respect related words (you get the jist) then be my guest :) All will be truly helpful.
