Thank you so much to everyone who supported us again this weekend! We had an even better turn-out than for our first takeaway weekend in May. You're all helping us to keep the New Inn alive.

We have a little bit of beer remaining - takeaway sales 5pm to 6.30pm Sunday, my thirsty friends! 🍻

Several people have asked me about providing a takeaway service from the New Inn here in Kewstoke and I'd like to gauge interest in this, probably starting over the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May. I need to ensure the pub makes money if it is to survive, but this includes only buying stock that will sell while it is still good to drink!

Admiral Taverns have kindly agreed that I may buy out-of-tie for a while, which gives me the opportunity to offer you beer and cider from some exciting local producers in, for example, Clevedon, Cheddar, and Wick St Lawrence.

We're considering offering takeaway beer/cider with a meal. The beer and cider would be sold in 2-pint quantities. We would take orders in advance and allocate time slots for collection, running a socially-distanced queue.

I know there has been some discussion about this and I want to clarify my position. I respect and understand those who decide to follow the government guidance not to visit pubs. Safeguarding the country's health must be our first priority at this worrying time.

I have been investigating takeaway options and hope very soon to share with you how we will be able to provide off-sales of your favourite draught beer or cider at home. I hope this will enable my customers to continue to support me, until we can all enjoy each other's company again as before.

Sorry for the inconvenience, central heating is being installed in the pub - at last work is being done on the New Inn. We are open as usual. It would be nice to see you.
