We had a great time celebrating Northamptonshire with Made In Northamptonshire on Saturday- and this is the cherry on top🍒 great speaking with you John.. you owe me a patty!

It was Northamptonshire Day on Saturday - this is a celebration of the county. From arts and culture to food and drink, the celebrations on Saturday on the Market Square had it all.

On Afternoon Delight this week, John will have conversations with some of the people who were there. Today, John speaks to Jodi the owner of June Plum Jamaican Restaurant and Catering. They talk about Jodi's sauces, seasonings and pickles, the increasing popularity of Jamaican food and how she began her passion for cooking.

Hear them at 2.20pm.

John also has a three from chart - three songs, a classic number and a TV theme. Today from October 2013, the TV theme is from a daytime game show hosted by John Scot Barrowman MBE. 🤔

🌟 Sky Dive for Sense College Rothwell 🌟

One of the amazing ladies from my sister Jade’s college is doing something truly brave — a sky dive — to raise funds for Sense College Rothwell!

Her name is Terry, and she’s taking the leap (literally!) to support a place that is so close to my heart. ❤️

My sister Jade absolutely loves going to Sense. They do a fantastic job supporting young people with various needs, offering everything from life skills lessons to creative activities, and most importantly — love and care.

And just like that… our restaurant chapter has come to an end.

After 12 incredible years of serving our community, sharing our food, and making lifelong friends, we have officially closed our doors at 31-32 Cambridge Street.

There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude. To every single one of you who supported us—whether by dining with us, spreading the word, or just cheering us on—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Maz had the honor of being our very last customer, but truly, every guest who walked through our doors over the years has been a part of our journey.

To our amazing team, past and present—you kept us going through it all, especially these last few weeks and months. A simple “thank you” will never be enough. And to the many hands that helped along the way—working the bar, the floor, the kitchen, decorating, fixing, building, organizing, and just showing up when we needed you most—you are forever a part of our story.

This isn’t goodbye—just a new beginning. We’ll see you out and about! With love and gratitude, always. ❤️

Oh, what a night! Our last night of service was an absolute blast, with familiar faces and new friends stopping by to say hi.

We missed getting pics with a few of you, but you know it’s all love! Huge thanks to .deabreu for throwing on a chef hat and absolutely bossing it in the kitchen with us.
