It's a huge pleasure to be working with my great friends Emma and Anne from Age UK Higham Ferrers.
They put their heart and soul into this charity.
Reworking and upcycling donated items for the benefit of the older residents of Northamptonshire.
It's been a beautiful day for it.

Tonight's creative moment, another object for my office space.
Thanks to my good friend who gave the hand as a gift.

How wonderful to make clients happy,
Their late mother's aluminium Bistro set was all broken and flimsy, then blasted clean of old paint, after welding all the parts together creating the Deluxe version, better than new.
I'm looking forward to seeing them powder coated.
Ready to be enjoyed in the garden again.

Another very satisfying job finished for a lovely happy client at her beautiful cottage.
All hand made and TIG welded.
Powder coated in matt green RAL 6011,
The matt finish looks more in keeping with the natural tones of the stone and foliage in the garden.
Also gives a more grip on the railing itself.
All stainless steel fixings and resin anchor bolts into the concrete.

Safety doesn't have to mean dull, boring and utilitarian.

My latest commissioned creation....
A vintage horse drawn plough carefully turned into a 29'' high table for a local pub garden.
3 scaffold plank top 8' long.
It's a fun item, easy to wheel around when the grass underneath needs cutting.
Repurposing an unused bygone era item.

Latest creative project,
A challenge set by great custom car and bike builder Dudge Durrant.
To make an aluminium gear lever for his latest Hotrod, 1935 Ford Truck.
The correct angle had to be set into the lower part from the original mechanism so the lever is perfect for driver comfort.
Aluminium and design was chosen to compliment the Deco design of the truck's interior.

A little evening build I've been wanting to get to for ages.
A fun practical solution to looking after my welding lines rather than then getting damaged hanging on a hook.

Including the obligatory old spanner too of course,
Great use for an old car rim.

Works a treat.

Another fun creation from parts that slowly arrive in my workshop until that magic moment were it all comes together, super comfortable for a well earned cuppa too.

Man calls via a reference, 'please would you weld this ali job?' Yes of course,
Would you like this giant piston and conrod?
Its the size of your leg. Yes that's awesome!
Got to be had and put on the wall.
Welded to an old spanner.
Its from a V16 biogas powered electrical generation engine.
Maybe will become the company sign and be a lamp too when the right parts arrive.... like they do...
I love the magic that happens..

What a great project to get stuck into.
A client brought me this well rotted water manifold from a 1930's Morris Major Salonette, Straight Six side valve engine.
Very few of these cars still exist and very few parts are available.
The challenge was to reproduce it as accurately as possible.
Fabricated from 10 separate pieces of aluminium and TIG welded together, then hand finished to look like the cast original.
Many hours of work and I loved every one of them.
It's great to think this lovely old car will live again.
The client is really pleased with the result.
