Our aim is to give the people of Halberton and the surrounding areas a local they can really be proud of. We believe the old fashioned way is best when it comes to food and we ensure all of our dishes are locally sourced and home-cooked from our stocks & sauces to our milkshake syrups and sweets. Ed has a passion for Authentic American style cooking methods which shines through in his food, We smoke our own meats and cheeses for the menu using our authentic reverse flow smoker. We have recently completed an extensive refurbishment and are now proudly showing off our modern toilets including baby change and disabled facilities. We have also refitted our kitchen and restaurant and are now dishing out delights to customers in a warm ambient dining area! Play traditional pub games in our games room or kick back and enjoy some peace in the snug. There is a place for everyone here at the Hickory Inn, come find yours! Families are more than welcome to dine with us and good value heartily portioned food is our ethos to make sure your family can enjoy evenings out without breaking the bank! We have an extensive menu available daily including a ‘munchkin’ menu for the little ones. Our chefs also strive to produce a list of specials daily, just to keep you on your toes! We are happy to discuss all your needs be it a day or night event.

TONIGHT'S MISSION!
Tonight mission was to make sausage rolls and some pin wheels for my son soul birthday party on the weekend. Got all my ingredients in the day. But what I didn't realise that somewhere between the hickory and the new home i lost my rolling pin. God dam it! Well instead of giving up I got 3 cans of custard and 1 can of coconut strapped them together with parcel tap then wrapped that with s**t loads of clingfilm and away i went. a bit bumpy and not perfect by any means but it had some good weight and got the job done 💪

Big ups to hanlons brewery BFK for proping up devons bbq scene. My wife took me out for a belated father's treat as we haven't been able to get out with everything going on. Its a truly lovely place and captures what you what for a bbq restaurant big meats, big bbqs and leaving with big belly's if your ever Exeter Crediton way go check them out!
