Hello and welcome to the newly created Trowbridge Wine & book club! This isn't actually a 'Wine Club' - being a connoisseur of wine is absolutely not required - a good old cup of tea is just as acceptable. However a good glass of wine alongside a good read is always great in my book (pun intended)
As we are in our infancy, genres, reading lists, topics are all on the table, as well as time and regularity of meeting - we can meet virtually over zoom during these crazy Covid-19 times. I just thought it was an opportunity to connect with local people and meet regularly - apparently research shows meeting regularly with a group of people is one of the two factors associated with long life - who knew! Oh and there's wine... lets not forget the wine.
My vision for this club is it will be a social connection during an isolated time, you don't need to be well read or able to quote the novels of Charles Dickens, we can agree on the books we would like to read as a group - we will be a democracy, not a dictatorship after all!
