An apology to anyone who was offended at my latest advert for our Christmas Fair with the use of AI for the poster. As many of you know, I am against the use of AI due to reasons previously explained on here.
In my defence, I run this group single-handedly, I get no support with admin, accounts, booking of venues, arranging entertainment, shopping for your complimentary drinks and biscuits, raking in debts and organisation of this group.
Some of you will know I am in not good health currently, mentally or physically after being in hospital having had surgery and have my good arm in plaster for the next 6 weeks, which makes organisation very difficult and painful.
I started to see adverts for other events around the same time as ours and realised I needed to get advertising pronto to support the event and support many of my faithful stallholders.
As much as I disagree on the use of AI for adverts, I had to swallow a bitter pill and get this done to get the advert out quickly, and for that I apologise if I have offended anyone and believe me when I say it’s not my proudest moment.
Plans are in hand for my poster guy to design a new Christmas poster for this event and once it goes to press, the AI adverts on here will be replaced. Keep your eyes peeled for an extra large (non AI) poster which will be displayed in Tavistock Square high up above the iron entrance gate to the market 2 weeks before the event.
Fortunately, I have only had 1 or 2 complaints but I hope you accept my apology and continue to support our fairs. Please take this as a small blip which I have no intentions on repeating any time soon.
