Tadley Runners

Tadley Runners Tadley Runners are a friendly running group based in Tadley in the North East of Hampshire. New members are always welcome!

Tadley Runners is a small, friendly club dedicated to all aspects of road running including Cross Country and Ultra-Distances. Some members also take part in Duathlons and Triathlons. While some members run just for fitness reasons. The club has runners of all abilities. The club meets twice a week at 7.00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays for normal runs and also some Thursdays for interval training at

the Hurst Leisure Centre which provides changing and social facilities. There are a normally a range of different distances and pace at these club sessions. Keep an eye on the page or website as we sometimes meet at a pub instead ;-)

We are situated in North East Hampshire, approximately 50 miles west of London, 15 miles South West of Reading and 7 miles North of Basingstoke. New members of all abilities are always welcome

Well it was a BIG weekend for Tadley Runners as Endure24 was running on our ‘backyard’.

Alex wasn’t doing Endure this year. Instead he did a big feat event. Big Sea ultra, 35 miles 5,000 ft of elevation and a beach start and finish.

Sooooooo many people to mention from Tadley Runners at Endure24, here are a few mentions.

Tadley Shufflers team at Endure 24 - 100 miles from a bunch of "oldies" - Christine, Jenny, Alex, John, Paul. That’s their words… not mine!

Spaniel Express including Emily and Ben Money and more.

Jake and Nicki completing their pair running at Endure 24 - 100 miles between them.

Emily and Ben Long… 100 miles+ each and Bonnie Boyd was running with a beaming smile as usual.

Many more names I didn’t have the time to include but well done to everyone. Whether it’s a big team, a small team, a pair or solo… you were all awesome!

Tadley Runners were out in full force, braving the heat the the Newbury 10k, Spring Feisty Day 1 Marathon, and then the same again Day 2.

💔 Tadley Tens Announcement

The Tadley Tens will not take place this year or in future years.

The roads around Tadley have become busier and more challenging in recent years, and safety expectations for road events have also increased. Meeting the new level of traffic management required is not something we can sustainably deliver as a small club.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part. We’re now looking at non‑road‑based options for the future.

Today is Mug/Medal Monday!

We had a number of runners either marshalling at Compton (Nick/Tracey) or running it like Anita and Tasj (Compton Marathon) or Paul who did the 16 mile route. No medals, just mugs!

Bonnie Boyd decided to buck the trend and finished the Hook 10 mile race! Got a medal though!

It’s bank holiday weekend so lots of Team Tadley Runners out and about!

First of all, Bonnie Boyd did Thatcham 10k and Silchester 5 Vet 50+ Winner 🏆 this weekend.

Dave Ranson completed the Southampton Half Marathon with Ryan Jones and Tasj doing the full marathon.

Many out doing the Hurstbourne 5, no medal but some great T-shirts…. Think we will allow that 🙂

Tracy did the Milton Keynes marathon, another one on the way to 300?

Finally Anita and Alex did the Big Way Round 50k with Paul volunteering.

First of all, well done to Bonnie Boyd for running the Virtual London Marathon. It might have not been the actual route but the actual miles were ran so it’s a sterling effort.

Next up, Jake and Nicki ran the Yorkshire Wildlife Park 10K. Amazing views of animals as they ran past, plus bonus entry back into the park after!

Last of all, well done to everyone that ran the London Marathon, representing the club in one way or another.

Lots of Feisty running this weekend

Tina chose a buff instead of a medal for the Winter Feisty 5.2 miles.

Hanna completed the Winter Feisty Half Marathon choosing a rather cool medal at the end.

Feisty Marathons run by Tasj, Sarah and Anita

Last of all for Feisty was Alex although not sure what distance and no photo. We will believe her though 😉

Must not forget Lizzie who completed the Queen Elizabeth Country Park Half Marathon Canicross. I suspect I know who really put in the most effort out of the team there 😉
