Doorstep Carols 2023: - An Update
In the three years since we launched Doorstep Carols, we have seen evidence of its power to unite neighbourhoods, connect people, prevent isolation and promote wellbeing at Christmas time.

Regrettably, without the support of the BBC, we are unable to guarantee that your local radio station will be playing the carols and we are not able to continue to grow Doorstep Carols as we’d like to this year.

But don't let that stop you singing together in your street this festive season. All of our resources are still available on our website for you to use free of charge, including recordings of all of the carols, along with words & sheet music. Or you can sing along to Shrewsbury's Carols in The Square on Wednesday, December 13th 2023 at 6pm, (where it all started), hosted by BBC Radio Shropshire who have been a tremendous support since day one.
Or why not get in touch with your local BBC radio station and ask them to join in! Let us know if they do and we'll add them to the website.

We know that this is a community led initiative and we invite you to bring your community together to sing.

Carols in The Square in Shrewsbury last night was the epicentre of the national Doorstep Carols event which saw people singing in the streets across the UK

And more carollers from tonight's Doorstep Carols in Snape, Suffolk, Leith Links, Scotland and Shrewsbury, where this all started back in 2020.
Who says this is just a pandemic thing? No way! 😁 This is about strengthening communities, having fun and creating new festive memories for future generations.
There's no big organisation behind it, no budget, no team - just a couple of mums trying to bring a bit of free happiness to all and not wanting to waste its great power for good.
