This popular community event, from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday 9th July 2017 is organised by a dedicated and enthusiastic team of local volunteers, and promises to be the biggest and best yet, with a packed programme. Building on last year’s success there is again something for all the family, with a bird of prey display, pony rides, a novelty pet dog competition, live bands, market stalls sellin
g local produce, gifts and plants, a tombola, ferrets on show, children’s attractions, and plenty more besides. Hot and cold refreshments will also be available, including two BBQs, a beer tent, ice cream, pizzas, fresh coffee and other drinks. The Summerfest will take place as usual at Higher Poynton Station on the Middlewood Way (opposite the Boar’s Head pub) and Mount Vernon Field behind.
