🌊 πŸ’§πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ The one question that comes up every time we mention taking on the old Prince of Wales bar is if the tsunami problem has been fixed in the basement.

Happy to report that Inverclyde Council and Scottish Water have done a great job installing a solution.

We’ve been in and out of the basement after heavy rain and high tides and it’s dry as a bone πŸ‘

We need to reframe our relationship with alcohol In Inverclyde and many people are.

Fewer young people drink now, either through choice or due to the economy.

We feel that part of the problem is a lack of alternatives. Where can you socialise as an adult without alcohol being available.

There are few options and most of them are organised or ticketed events.

The Rope & Duck aims to offer an adult night time venue, where you can experience the same atmosphere, open to anyone, come in a stranger and get a warm welcome, make spontaneous connections with people, as you do in a pub, just minus the alcohol.
