Good morning all,
Just to let everyone know the pub is now officially up for Sale and a board has gone up this is such a shame for the regulars and the area itself with possibilities of loosing your only pub in the village, we as a business have fought long and hard to keep this pub afloat but unfortunately the big boys have other ideas 💡.The pub has been on a long awaited list for the company to get rid of due to there incredible amount of debt ( stonegate ) the Whittington is an amazing pub being a hub of the community keeping people together and we have seen since we’ve been here the amount of community spirit in this village each day coming through our doors, not only is this pub a hub of the community it is also a social place for those who need it, people whom live alone and use our pub to have interaction daily and just people who support their local, we truly hope that who ever invests in the Whittington invest wisely and remember that this isn’t just a pub or a building for development but this has been a local for many many years and needs to remain a local for everyone to enjoy…
Traditions need to remain , so many things have been lost over the years but we really do hope the new buyers consider not only the people but the memories of what have been made here and not just consider there pockets to develop….
Thanks for everyone’s support and understanding we will continue to trade until we are told otherwise..
