BILAL ZAFAR WAS NOMINATED FOR THE LASTMINUTE.COM BEST NEWCOMER AWARD FOR HIS DEBUT SHOW, CAKES, AT THE EDINBURGH FRINGE. BILAL ALSO WON THE NEW ACT OF THE YEAR AWARD JOINING THE COMPANY OF PREVIOUS WINNERS SUCH AS STEWART LEE, ARDAL O’HANLON, JOE WILKINSON AND LINDA SMITH.
HE WAS THE RUNNER UP AT THE LEICESTER SQUARE THEATRE NEW COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR COMPETITION. HE HAS APPEARED ON BBC3, BBC IPLAYER, BBC RADIO 4, BBC RADIO 5 LIVE, BBC ASIAN NETWORK, AND HAS WRITTEN FOR THE INDEPENDENT.
AN ACCOMPLISHED ACTOR, HE HAS APPEARED IN CHANNEL 4 SITCOM CATASTROPHE, SKY SITCOM SICK OF IT AND THE PAUL FEIG DIRECTED FEATURE FILM LAST CHRISTMAS.

CANADIAN COMIC MIKE SHEER IS FULL OF CONTRADICTIONS – NOT JUST BECAUSE HE HAS BOTH A BABY FACE AND GOUT. HIS HUMOUR JUMPS FROM LIGHT TO DARK, SMART TO STUPID, LOW-BROW TO HIGH. AUDIENCES ARE ON THEIR TOES WHILE LAUGHING OFF THEIR BUTTS.

Come down and see one of the fastest rising comedians in the uk

Josh Weller is a comedian, comic book author, musician, and podcast host. He was born in England, raised in Malaysia and now lives in London.

Weller’s high energy brand of cleverly self-deprecating stand-up landed him on pro bills after just one year on the circuit. In addition to his live comedy work, Josh has developed a loyal fanbase for his online content, which includes sketches, live pub quizzes, professional trolling, animated stand-up comedy shorts, character work, and more. In 2020, he was included in Twitter’s Valentine’s Campaign, featured on billboards across the US and UK.

Josh is also a successful broadcaster and presenter, having hosted and produced the popular Excitable Boy podcast ( #6 on the iTunes Comedy chart, #13 on the worldwide iTunes chart), as well as the official Hard Rock Café podcast and the Vans Warped Tour podcast. He’s currently the host of the Hard Rock Cafe’s social video content, including Learn Guitar with Josh Weller.

Josh is already well-known for his successful music career. Having signed with Universal Records as a teenager, he went on to tour the world as both a solo artist and the lead singer of popular punk act The Kenneths. He has performed on the Vans Warped Tour alongside The Offspring, The Descendants and Juliette Lewis, has drummed for Ray Davies at the Royal Variety Performance, released a Christmas single with Paloma Faith and has toured with Mumford & Sons, The Maccabees, and more.

Josh recently appeared in an episode of BBC’s Life Lessons with Alfie Brown and his darkly comic graphic novel, Die Already, was published by CollegeHumor.

Catch in Reading on Sep 16th!

Katharyn began doing stand up comedy in New York where she worked her way to regularly hosting and performing nightly all over the city. She has been seen regularly at venues including but not limited to New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand, and The Comic Strip as well as countless backs of bars, windowless basements, rooftops, and bathroom stalls.

Currently based in London, Katharyn performs regularly at Top Secret Comedy Club and recently won The Black Out at Up the Creek. Katharyn’s other current projects include co-hosting the podcasts “Everyone’s Doing Better Than Me” with Eve Ellenbogen and “This American Irish Life” with Mark O’Keeffe.
