Thank you to everyone that attended Creaton in Bloom yesterday. Yet again, we were lucky with the weather in that the rain held off, so the gardens were shown in their best light!

Thanks of course to all the homeowners and gardeners. They give up so much of their time and generously allow us in to their gardens. It's obvious to say it, but without them the event simply couldn't take place.

Thanks also to the stallholders and sponsors who support the event, and also to the many volunteers without whom the event also wouldn't be possible.

We'll be sharing some pictures across the week, begining here with some taken at The Green. All pictures and drone shots kindly provided by Fraser and Myia of www.duovacreative.co.uk

As well as showcasing some fabulous gardens and having a great village day out, Creaton in Bloom is also a charitable event and every £ of surplus is put back into local causes. Last year we raised over £8,500! We know the cost of living is putting a squeeze on everyone, so we've kept the price for the BBQ and for entry to the gardens the same as last year, and there's still free parking on the Playing Field.

The money we raise is used principally to maintain the fabric and building of St Michael and All Angels church, but other organisations receiving donations include Creaton Playing Field, The United Reformed Church Creaton, Creaton Village Hall and Creaton WI - all of whom play a huge part in the success of the event.

(Creaton in Bloom takes place on Sunday 7th June. BBQ from 12pm, Gardens open from 1pm)
