That's it folks, we're closed for a bit!
We've had ups and downs over the last 30 months, but unfortunately the last 6 have become unsustainable with increasing costs, challenges to recruit and a sleeping economy meaning visits to pubs in general are declining.
We've given it our best shot but ultimately have decided we're perhaps not the best fit for this beautiful village pub and informed Batemans of our decision a few months ago. We're still awaiting an update from them on news of a new tenant for the pub, which we hope is forthcoming so you can have your village pub back open serving the community.
