Glamping breaks in a tranquil rural location alongside our friendly Alpacas We have 3 gorgeous glamping huts – The Hen House , Buttercup and Bluebell .

Dartmoor Reach Alpaca & Glamping Farm welcomes guests to our range of glamping pods. If you are looking for holiday accommodation that is a little different then why not try our converted double decker bus. Based near Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon we are in a tranquil, peaceful countryside location perfect for a relaxing getaway. Dartmoor Reach Alpaca Farm is owned and run by Josh and Natalie Hyson with a little help from Romy (9) and Cerys (7), our beautiful daughters. We moved here in 2015, started farming Alpacas in 2019 and opened for ‘glamping’ in 2021 . All huts can sleep 4 people and are designed for 2 adults and 2 children. The Hen House is slightly more compact which is reflected in the pricing. All the huts have a kitchenette (no oven) with a gas hob , sink and fridge. Buttercup and Bluebell have an en suite WC and there is a small toilet block with one shower and two toilets, one of which is for the use of the Hen House (The Hen House does not have an en suite WC). The huts are equipped with all you should need for your stay. Cutlery, plates, pots and pans, linen, towels etc are all included. Each hut has a private deck area out front with a picnic bench on and there are fire pits and logs to hire on site. Dartmoor Reach is a working farm so don’t be surprised to see Alpacas outside the front door, hens pecking around the field, pigs rootling around in the mud and the odd goat getting into mischief . Each hut is situated underneath huge old Oak trees in a 5 acre field. No-one overlooks our field and the huts are angled so each one doesn’t overlook another. You have plenty of privacy. There is a small play area for the children with a mud kitchen, wendy house, slide and rope swing. Josh and Natalie live on site overlooking the huts and are always happy to help with anything the guests need. Dartmoor Reach is on the edge of Dartmoor National Park with the nearest Tor – Haytor- a ten minute drive away . There are many beautiful walks to be had nearby including one to our award winning local pub – The Claycutters arms (15 minutes on foot). So whether you are looking for a holiday, short break or weekend away from it all we would love to welcome you

September is a great time to explore Dartmoor, enjoy a walk and then return to the comfort of our glamping accommodation or self catering bungalow.

Dartmoor Reach is a great base for walking on Dartmoor, exploring the local area and family outdoor activities.

We also have a purpose built yoga studio on site where you can enjoy some gentle movement.

A family holiday is even more special when it includes animals

For children, spending time with animals can turn an ordinary break into an unforgettable adventure. From helping to feed them and learning about their personalities to simply enjoying being outdoors and getting closer to nature, there are so many wonderful memories to be made.

At Dartmoor Reach, our friendly alpacas are always a favourite with visitors! An alpaca feeding experience (included in glamping stays) is a great opportunity for the whole family to get up close, take some photos and enjoy something a little different during their stay.

August is Happiness Happens Month
